The 3G/HD-SDI Neo module is built around a powerful FPGA from Lattice. On request, image processing functions such as colorimetry and measurement tests, reticles , contrast enhancement, region of interest extraction, OSD, can be implemented in real time.

Serial digital interface (SDI) is a family of digital video interfaces standardized by SMPTE (The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers). 3G-SDI, is the most recent interface. Consisting of a single 2.970 Gbit/s serial link, It is standardized in SMPTE 424M.This standard is used for transmission of uncompressed, unencrypted digital video signal (optionally including embedded audio and/or time code) within television facilities
Two audio lines or microphone input are available in option. Line input : ( 47KOms impedance): 0dB level for a 18dBFs SDI signal. Variable gain from 97dB to +30dB Microphone input: Bias voltage can be adjusted until 2,3V for Electret microphones, max gain : +63dB Numerous audio functions can be managed by RS232 software with a VISCA ''like'' protocol. Stereo/ Mono / left / right ; two lines mixing.
The interface board automaticaly recognizes the SONY FCB Model and adapts its image processing to the SONY FCB SE 600, FCB EH range ( 6500,6300, 3400,3300,3150), to the FCB-EV7500 and FCB-EV7100.
By adding a dedicated circuit for correction and stabilization of the Sony camera output clock, the interface board provides a high quality HDSDI signal. Characterized by a 'jitter' of less than 0.5 IU, lower than 300 ps rising ans falling edges, the 3Gb/s HD signal can be transported coaxial cables over 100 meters of High quality coxial cable.
